The Threaded Post and Backing
Our Lovearing screw back earrings have ball backing that is kept from lessening the chance to lose the earring or have it detached easily. The ball backing is closed in the back so it protects you and your children's ear from the post poking out.
Safety and Material
This is an example of our ball backing, it is also made up of solid yellow gold just as any other parts of the earrings. It is not plated with any other material as it is not necessary with our beautiful solid 14k yellow gold. It is safe for sensitive ears as it is, perfect gift for those that are sensitive to certain types of metals.
Post Size and Backing Secured
Our post size is 7.5 mm long and as you can see in the example, it is threaded into the backing, there's no poking, hard to detach, secured.
